Mario Kart - Rin X Reader

    It was an ordinary friday night and you were enjoying the rare silence.  The usually rowdy Tachibana house, was silent now.  Your parents and the twins had left for the weekend, leaving you and your older brother, Makoto home alone.  

    “[Name]?”  Makoto’s soft voice called out to you from the other side of your bedroom door.  “Can I come in?”  

    You placed the book you were reading down and sat up on your bed.  “Yeah, sure…”

    Makoto slowly opened the door and walked over to you.  “I know you really like your quiet time, and I respect your wishes to be alone…”  Makoto looked guilt stricken, and you knew exactly why.  

    You sighed and stood up, looking up at your brother.  “Nagisa convinced you to have a sleepover party here didn't he?”  Your tone was slightly teasing and you had a small smile on your face.

    Makoto let out a helpless sigh.  “Yeah…”  

    You chuckled lightly and gave a small smile. "You have nice friends... All except that Rin..."  To be honest, you had a small crush on Rin, but you refused to speak of it.  

    "Hey...Rin isn't that bad..."  Makoto sighed.  "He's a great guy, once you get to know him."

    You nodded and lightly smiled.  "I know, I know..." 

    The doorbell rang, and Makoto went to go answer it; you followed along of course.  

    "Mako-chan!!"  A short blonde attacked Makoto with a a hug and you chuckled.

    "H-hi Nagisa..."  Makoto was currently being crushed by a short blonde.  

    You chuckled, knowing Nagisa's eccentric personality quite well.  "Hi Nagi-kun!"  You smiled at your classmate. 

    "[Name]-chan!!"  Nagisa removed his arms from Makoto and wrapped them around you.  

    You giggled and pat him on the head.  You were close friends with Nagisa; mostly because of your brother, but also because he was in the same class as you.  

    "[Name]-chan, are you gonna play video games with us?!"  Nagisa had grabbed your hands and jumped up and down in excitement. 

    "Sure~"  You nodded, allowing all of the boys to enter your house.

    They all walked upstairs to Makoto's room, and you followed.  

You saw Rin and smirked.  "Hey Sharkie, ready to lose to me again?"  You teasingly punched his arm. 

    He growled. "I let you win you know..."  

    You rolled your eyes.  "Sure ya did..." You grabbed a controller and sat down.

    "I'm gonna destroy you..."  Rin growled, sitting next to you and grabbing a controller for himself. 

    "Sure, go ahead and try~"  You stuck out your tongue, earning a glare from him in return.  

    Makoto hesitantly started up the game and everyone picked out their characters.

    "I choose Peach!" Nagisa grinned, bouncing up and down in his spot. 

    "I will choose Waluigi, because with his lean frame, he with be the most agile; he is obviously the most logical choice."  Rei adjusted his glasses proudly. 

    Nagisa giggled.  "Rei-chan I don't think that's the way the game works..."

    Rin flashed his sharp teeth with a grin.  "I will be Bowser and I will beat you all."

    You scoffed.  "I choose Yoshi."  You always liked Yoshi, he was pretty adorable.  

    Haru said nothing and selected the character Rosalina. 

    "H-Haru? Why'd you pick her?"  Makoto had a concerned expression painted on his face. 

    "Because, she is blue..."  Haru plainly stated.

    "I think it's because Haru-chan likes pretty girls!  Haru you should play as [Name]!!"  Nagisa beamed. 

    You blushed; this kind of compliment was common from Nagisa, but that didn't stop you from becoming flustered.  

    "[Name] isn't blue..."  Haru turned towards the screen and awaited the start of the game.

    You shook your head at Haru, chuckling quietly.

    Makoto sighed, noting that he was friends with some weird people.  "I'll pick Luigi..."

    "Alright!"  You pumped your fist. "Let's go losers!"  You hit start and got ready for the race to begin.

    The countdown seemed to last forever as you sat in anticipation.  Finally the signal went off and you turned into a full-blown racing machine.  

    Rin clutched his controlled tightly.  "God dammit!"  He growled, hitting fist against the ground violently.  

    You laughed triumphantly.  "Silly Sharkie, you can't beat me!"  You posed like one of those war heroes from a statue.  "I'm just too good at this game!"  

    Rin gave you a harsh glare and grabbed your shoulders.  "I want a rematch..."  He looked deep in your eyes.

    You had a taunting glare on your face.  "It's on Sharkboy..."

    Hours passed by like minutes, each game had the same result; a tie. 

    "Another one!"  Rin growled, hitting the button again.  

You were both exhausted; you had been playing this game for over 4 hours.  

    "Rin..."  You yawned quietly.  "Maybe we should give up..." You rubbed your eyes gently, trying to shake away the fatigue. 

         "What?!  No!"  Rin looked at you.  "I have to beat you!"  His voice came out in a hushed whisper.  

    You rolled your eyes.  "Whatever..." You picked up your controller and waited for Rin to start the game. 

    "Hey [Name], Rin..."  Nagisa's sleepy voice could be heard behind you.  "If Rin wins, then [Name] has to let him kiss her..."  

    You were wrong to ever think Nagisa was innocent.  "What?! Why would I do that?!"  You had a light blush spread across your cheeks.  

    "Beeecaauussee..."  Nagisa let out a quiet yawn.  "It makes the bet much more interesting..."  After he spoke, he fell back asleep. 

    "Just hit start..."  You growled. 

    Rin nodded and started the game.  

    The race started out intense, but after time you felt your eyelids grow heavy.  Just as the finish line was in sight, you let out a large yawn, causing you to swerve out of the track and off the side of a cliff. 

    "Haha!  Yes!  I won!!"  Rin cheered, throwing his hands in the air.  

    You looked at the ground in defeat, cursing yourself for yawning.

    You suddenly felt something warm press against your cheek, causing you to look up.  You were met with Rin's bold eyes; he was intently staring at you.  Before you could react, Rin's lips were pressed against yours.  

    Your mind spun with endless questions, and endless scenarios.  "What should I do? Should I kiss back? Of course I should, but how? And what if he wants more?? I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of thing yet!"  The questions flew through your mind.  You slowly kissed him back, not knowing what else to do.

    The two of you separated, your faces flushed a deep red.

    "R-Rin..."  You looked up at your flushed senior.

    Without warning, Rin pulled you in for another kiss, this one deeper and filled with more passion. 

    As soon as it happened, the kiss ended, leaving you even more flustered than before.  

    "[Name]..."  Rin gently whispered your name.  "I love you..."

    You looked up at him, completely shocked.  "D-did he just say what I think he did?!?"  You tried your best to reply, but nothing came out; you were speechless.  You nodded and grabbed him, hugging him tightly. 

    Rin chuckled and wrapped his arms around you.

    "Rin...."  You lightly whispered to him.  "Can I go to bed now?"  

    Rin gently nodded and laid down, bringing you with him. 

    You instantly relaxed; feeling Rin's body heat around you was enough to finally pull you into a sweet sleep.
