As you hurriedly packed your bag, the same words looped through your enervated brain; how could everything possibly go wrong in one day?  Groaning, you helplessly shuffled through your closet, hoping to find the outfit you so dreaded.

After months of praying for a catastrophe, the obstinate day arrive perfectly on time.

"Where is that goddamn dress?!"  Practically screaming in anger, you stomped on the ground.  At this point, you were beginning to lose the small sliver of sanity that remained inside your mind.

As the familiar blue fabric caught your eye, you wished you had never found it; then you could have a viable excuse.  Snatching the frilly, meshy, piece of extravagant shit, you quickly shoved it in your bag, not caring if it got wrinkled.

"Fuck... What time is it?"  Speaking to no one in particular, you dashed to find a time-telling device of some sort.

The sight of your phone nestled in between blankets brought a victorious grin on your face.  "Aha!" You grabbed the cellular device in your hand and jerked it towards your face.

Obviously, you underestimated your strength; the phone slipped from your fingers, soaring across your room.  With a loud "thud", your precious smartphone was on the floor.

Utter shock; that was the single expression that lined your features.  You were always one to be careful with your phone; making sure to keep it away from water, and dangerous friends.  So why... Why did this have to happen to you?  Hesitantly making your way to the possible shattered mess of a phone, you reached your hand out to grab it.

The crack wasn't huge, but it was enough to irritate you beyond belief.

You were speechless; this day was definitely the WORST.  Muttering endless curses, you slammed the overpacked suitcase and dragged it towards the door.

The cold air nipped at the skin on your face; it was incredibly cold, and the taxi you ordered was late.  If this luck of yours kept up, you would miss your flight.

As if on cue, the yellow car appeared in front of you.  A quick "thank god," was muttered as you towed your luggage towards the steaming car.

The driver got out of the car and grabbed your bags, "placing" them in the trunk.  "Where to..."  The statement was more of a command than a question, and you replied almost instantly.

"The airport... Could you hurry, I'm already late as it is..."  As you sat in the worn out leather seat, the horrid aroma of smoke and various types of garbage filled your nostrils.

"For an extra ten dollars..."  His coarse voice called back from the outside.

You clenched your fist, reluctantly agreeing to his bargain.  "Fine..."  You growled and sat back in the uncomfortable seat.

Within moments, the driver got in the car -accepting your "tip"- and started the engine.

Deciding that silence wasn't the best thing for you at the moment, you decided to make smalltalk.  "I'm on my way to Hawaii..."

A light scoff echoed back from the front seat.  "I didn't ask for your life story lady..."

Wow, could he be any more rude?  You shifted in your seat and tried to enjoy the outside view; usually the glimmering city lights calmed your nerves.  However, the city was unnaturally dark and barren; what luck...

The cab ride was a bumpy one; each turn filled with various squeaks and screeches.  So by the time you reached the airport, you practically dove out of the death trap of a car, quickly grabbing your stuff afterwards.

As you stepped inside the warm haven, you noticed the several hundred people crowding through the gates.

"Great..."  Rolling your eyes sarcastically, you dragged your bag towards the -extremely long- check in line.

Now the cliché airport is usually filled with the stereotypical screaming children and their distracted parents, but this one was unusually silent.  However, all of that ended in a second; two small children entered through the doors, making you shudder.  And if the the high pitched giggles weren't enough to push you over the edge, they made their way towards you, standing directly behind you in line.

"Heya missy! We going to Hawaii!! We gon see Doplins and Sea Tudles!!"  The child back of you pulled on the hem of your pants.

"Now now... Armin..."  A tall brunette stood between you and the eager boy.  "Sorry about that ma'am... They are really looking forward to this trip..."

Turquoise eyes met yours and all of your anger suddenly melted away.  "N-no it's fine..."  Your words were shaky, but you decided to play it off as lack of morning coffee.

"So where are you headed?  I bet you already knew we were headed to Hawaii..."  The male sheepishly chuckled.

Suddenly, the distaste for any form of communication completely vanished. "Actually, I'm going to Hawaii as well..."  A half-forced smile made its way on your face.

"Oh really? That's great! Now I have someone to chat with!"  His eyes lit up and he smiled.  "The name's Eren by the way..."

You nodded in response, running the name around in your head.  "I'm [Name]... It's nice to meet you..."  As you were taught, you held your hand out politely for a handshake.

Eren gracefully took it and gave it a quick shake; his hand however, lingered with yours.  "It's beautiful,"  He looked at you softly.  "Your name... It's really pretty..."

"Ah....hah... T-thanks... You too..."  As soon as you realized what you had said, you regretted speaking at all.

"Why thank you..." Eren coyly smiled, playfully mocking your mistake.

"Miss [Name]... Are you big brother's girlfriend?"  The darker haired child looked up at you, her eyes staring intimidatingly at yours.

"N-no! Mikasa! What did I tell you about barging into other people's conversations?!"  A flustered Eren scolded the young girl.

"Well you're doing it wrong," Mikasa pointed at him, completely unfazed by his nagging.  "You need to act all cool... Like the boys on my show..."

"Mikasa... I just... Stop you always do this..."  Eren groaned and held his head in his hands.

"That's because you never learn..."  Mikasa huffed and turned to look outside.

As you watched the sight unfold, you couldn't help but giggle at the childish behavior from Eren.

"H-hey! It's not funny!"  The brown-haired Eren halfheartedly glared at you.  "She does this all the time!"

The sudden urge to ruffle his hair was pushed down inside you.  "Then maybe you should listen to her..."  Speaking with a chuckle, you took a step forward in line.

"And remind me again why I should be taking advice from an eight year old?"  Eren quietly scoffed, stepping closer to you.

"Because,"  You tried to conceal the smile that threatened to show itself with an act of confidence.  "The guys on tv get all the chicks..."  Unable to continue with a straight face, you bursted out laughing, not even caring if you were disturbing anyone.

It was a while into your giggle-fest, that you noticed Eren was laughing as well...

As soon as you both had calmed down, Eren let out a deep breath.  "Whew... I haven't laughed that hard in weeks..."  The bright expression that had previously been on his face was replaced with a grim one.

"Hey... Are you alright?"  The sudden change in emotions both intrigued and concerned you.

As if it was never there, Eren's expression returned to his normal chirpy state.  "Yep, I'm fine..."

You decided to leave the conversation at that, somewhat overwhelmed with confusion.  Turning back towards the front of the line, you noticed that you were at the front.

"Please show your ID and plane ticket..."  The "ecstatic" woman behind the counter held out her hand impatiently.

You nodded and pulled the two out of your pocket and handed them to her, eager to escape the pain of standing.

"Please make your way to security gate A... You have TSA pre-check..."  With an obviously fake smile, she waved you off.

A whispered "thanks" was given as you walked away, forgetting about Eren and his intrusive siblings.

The line for the security check was longer than you could ever imagine and you felt like dying -if you didn't have pre-check, you would've done exactly that.-

You now sat in your designated area, waiting to board your flight.  This whole ordeal was a ‘hurry up and wait’ kind of thing; it irked you to no end.

"Hey... Long time no see..."  The familiar voice caused you to jerk your head away from the ground; in front of you stood a out of breath looking Eren.

You gave a friendly smile and gently patted the seat next to you; he looked pretty exhausted and you didn't want him to pass out or anything.

As he sat down, he sighed in relief.   "So what's up with ditching me earlier?"  His tone was playful, but it was obvious that your previous actions had hurt him.

"I just kinda zoned out,"  You ran your fingers through your hair.  "It's been a long day..."

As Eren leaned back in his seat, he chuckled lightly.  "It's seven in the morning, the day is just starting..."

"Ugh... That's the worst part of it... I've got like, fifteen hours left..."  Letting out a rather loud groan, you joined Eren in relaxation.

"Fifteen hours?  You're gonna be up till ten?"  Eren shifted positions so he was facing you, giving you his complete attention.

"Well my mom is getting married and the wedding and the reception... So you know..."  A sigh escaped your lips, and you shook your head slowly.

"Ah... Sounds tough..."  A sympathetic smile was given from Eren.

You nodded in agreement; it was beyond tough for you, especially since you were never fond of your mother's new fiancé.  "Yeah,"  You gave a soft sigh, waving it off as nothing.

"Well I vow to bug you until you completely forget about it."  Eren gave a childish grin.

"Hmm... I don't know... Seems pretty unlikely,"  A light giggle escaped your lips as you tried to hide your amusement.  "It's a long flight you know..."

"How bout a bet then?"  As he sat up, a mischievous glint flashed in his eyes.  "If I am right, then you'll go on a date with me..."  Hi cheeks were slightly pink, but just enough to accent his eyes.

Being competitive as you were, you instantly agreed, not letting his words process in your mind. "You're on Casanova!"  You nodded in determination, standing up as the announcement of your flight boarding echoed over the loudspeaker.

Lucky for you, the seat next to you belonged to none other than the flirtatious brunette; it would be an interesting flight...

You don't know how long it took me to find this picture... It doesn't even go with the story but who cares...
It's been so long since I've written about Eren... So nostalgic... ;u;

My inspiration came from the book "The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight"  And OMG it was so good!!!  >3<  (I'm probably exxagerating XD I always do)

I'm writing the third chapter right now, and I will post the second chapter in a few minutes...
I'm trying my best to give this story an actual plot, instead of my usual "Wow! Look at all of that fluff!!"  XD  This could end badly...

Wish me luck~!
